This tin type image of my beautiful beau - captured forever by the incredible Sharon arrived in my inbox today (with the original one off tin type to follow this week)
Sharon is a gorgeous human being, and clever to boot- she uses original antique cameras and processes to capture souls and moments. We were honoured to stay at her magical home in Cornwall this year and in addition to her families good company and fascinating insight on historic photography practices, this divine tintype was captured.

When I saw that @sometimesthesea was going to be at @witch_festival | knew | had to book a sitting.
Supporting a woman owned business, at a witch festival, in Cornwall. Yes please.
I generally feel quite awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Sharon's lovely energy felt like old nurturing wisdom from another time that made me feel calm.
Sitting felt like I was being put under a spell or going into meditation as she did her thing.
Watching my image on the plate start to develop, I noticed how much I look like my mom, and my grandmother. It was so beautiful. t Thank you, Sharon. I love my images!
If you're in the Cornwall area I highly recommend a sitting. Even if you're not local, give her a follow anyways. Her process, set up and work is pure magic HANkY

We visited Sharon for a family portrait to celebrate our son’s second birthday and I can honestly say it was life changing. As someone who suffers with self doubt I often shy away from having photos taken of myself but Sharon couldn’t have been more wonderful. We stayed in her homely holiday let where she made us feel so welcome and constantly reassured me that we’d get an image I’d love (with a toddler this is often out of the question) and didn’t she do just that! Showing the patience of a saint she managed to capture a family portrait that can only be described as a future family heirloom. Watching an image appear in front of us was mesmerising, so much so that I cried happy tears. Sharon took so much care in not only showing us this fascinating wet plate process but also ensuring we have a set of unique and timeless family portraits that I’m sure will be treasured for generations to come.
